Amaryllis "Mary" Prometheus

Created as an original character based off the show RWBY. She is based on the story of Frankenstein. Her nickname references the author: Mary Shelly. She named her weapons of choice Megavolt, They are two gauntlets that use dust crystals to perform a number of electrical attacks. The gauntlets also function as tasers. They can shoot lightning bolts, create electrical currents​, stun enemies and interfere with electronics. She calls her power or semblance Animate, it allows her to imbue objects and figures with some of her aura or willpower letting her influence and manipulate the object. While she can control them, she must concentrate in order to do so.

She comes from the military city of Atlas. Where she attended the Atlassian Battle School to become a fighter and protector. Her father, Alphonse Prometheus is on the Atlassian council and he helped to develop the heaters in the under city, Mantle. Her mother, Caroline, is a wealthy heiress. Her boyfriend's name is Evan Whitaker, a boy with black hair and a white streak in it. His semblance is lightning absorption. He is based on the Bride of Frankenstein. Evan is seen as a negative influence and pushes her to do bad things.
Evan died during combat training, and Mary tried to use her semblance on him. Because of his semblance, the aura she put in him just absorbed the lightning instead of sending it where it was supposed to and just the body came back. He went haywire and terrorized students and injured many, including her younger brother Will. Because of this she was forced to leave Atlas and ended up attending Beacon Academy.
Cedar Drake
Another original character created for the world of RWBY. He is inspired by the mythological properties of the Mandrake root.
He calls his semblance Amplify which allows him to amplify sound and sonic energy. He puts this power to a variety of uses like personal sonar, voice amplification, store sound, and creating a supersonic whistle.

He was born partially deaf, and relied on devices to help his impairment. He was teased for his powers as a child, didn't know how to control them. As a child he got attacked by two dogs, leave bite mark scars over his arms. When his power activated, he accidentally nearly deafened his vocal teacher when he was testing his semblance, as punishment he was locked in a sound proof room for two days and he grew phobia of silence. As a result of the accident, as well as trying to scream his way out of the room he is hard of hearing.

In order to overcome his disability, he designed a set of headphones to help him amplify his hearing. Tunes into different sound frequencies and can even tap into radio signals and communication frequencies. They can also project a hologram screen to show images.
Minerva
The character is inspired by the song "Villain" by the K-pop group K/DA. She is a powerful telepath that can invade people's minds. She uses her crystals as amplifiers to enhance both her reach and the strength of her connection. She uses fantasies and illusions to hypnotize people, just like the line in the song:
"I'll stay so deep inside your brain,
And take you somewhere far away".
Those who find themselves under her control hear a soft sweet whispering in their heads. This is in reference to the song saying:
"Listen to your brain go
Go stupid, go dumb, go stupid and
Then we go insane whoa
Just do what I say
Follow me I'll lead the way"
She never felt heard or acknowledged growing up and now she uses her powers to make sure she is finally heard, this is inspired by the lines:
"In control
That's how I like it
And I'm never letting go, nah
Never had a soul
So you ain't taking anything from me"
Thunder
A character inspired by a variety of 80's rock songs. Namely the song "Thunderstruck" by ACDC. He has electric powers, which were inspired by the song and he is obsessed with 80's rock music. He can shoot lightning, interact with electrical fields and create EMP pulses. He can also teleport by breaking down his molecules into light and ride lightning bolts, cords and wires. He carries a guitar that also doubles as a battle axe. His outfit is a combination of 80's rocker and battle armor.

He loves fighting to music and will occasionally set up speakers to play with while he fights, similar to the Marvel character Star-Lord.
